Not a Box - Cardboard Costume Inspiration

Not a Box - Cardboard Costume Inspiration

It's not a box - it's so much more!

Today's round-up is a highlight of Halloween costumes from the past and all our favorite transformations using a cardboard box.

First up, the RMS Titanic, inspired by the I Survived book series by Lauren Tarshis.

The fates were with us when we happened upon an extra large Casper box that had been used to ship a mattress lying out on the curb.  Using a few rolls of colored tape, the box quickly transformed to a ship. The letters were also stickers!

This one was a definite crowd favorite at the parade!

Next up, the USPS mailbox - using cardboard and paint.

Anyone see my child?

Last up, the 1961 Ferrari 250 GT California Spyder from Ferris Bueller's Day off.

"Oh Sloan, dear - hurry along..."

Whew. This one was a beast. Multiple boxes were used to carve this up, along with paint and lots of tape. It took two long nights to put this baby together but it was worth it.

One epic Halloween...

Thanks for reading and we truly hope you're inspired to make your own - Not-a-Box creation. Cheers!
